Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament brings the action of the animated series' Dark Tournament Saga to the interactive realm through a fast-paced fighting game. The game features several different ways to play, including a story mode based on exciting moments in the Dark Tournament Saga. In arcade and survival mode, you can fight your way through a series of increasingly difficult AI-controlled opponents. A card game mode lets you use cards earned in battle to face off in an all-new strategy game.

Fight as Chu:
Win a token game match with Chu's card in your deck.

Fight as Doctor Itchigaki:
Defeat Doctor Itchigaki in story plus mode.

Fight as Elder Toguro:
Defeat Younger Toguro without him activating his "strength increase" in single-player mode under the hard difficulty setting.

Fight as Gama:
Select Touya as your final opponent in arcade mode and win.

Fight as Jin:
Defeat Jin in Dark Tournament mode Chapter 19 and get a "Perfect".

Fight as Karasu:
Defeat Karasu as Yoko Kurama in survival mode.

Fight as Kuro Momotaro:
Select Makintaro as your final opponent in arcade mode and win.

Fight as M1:
Complete Dark Tournament mode under the easy difficulty setting.

Fight as M2:
Select M1 as your final opponent in arcade mode and win.

Fight as M3:
Defeat Hiei and Kurama in tag team mode with M1 and M2 on your team.

Fight as Makintaro:
Complete Dark Tournament mode under the easy difficulty setting.

Fight as Rinku:
Win two "Perfect" rounds in single-player mode under the hard difficulty setting.

Fight as Risho:
Destroy 75% of the arena floor in any mode with one player.

Fight as Roto:
Complete Dark Tournament mode under the easy difficulty setting.

Fight as Shishi Wakamaru:
Defeat Genkai as Yusuke in the cave in single-player mode under the hard difficulty setting.

Fight as Suzuka:
Successfully complete survival mode as Shishi.
