It's a well-known fact that many notebook users prefer a standard mouse over their notebook's touchpad, as a mouse is often seen as easier to use. Unfortunately, carrying a mouse along with everything else can sometimes be a headache, as users tend to forget to pack the mouse each time they take their notebook with them. Luckily, Logitech has come out with a solution that works perfectly with its newly released V550 Nano mouse.

Logitech, one of the leading manufacturers of computer peripherals, is known for successful products such as the MX Air and MX Revolution mice, or the gaming-ready G9 mouse and G15 keyboard. The company's latest product comes to provide support for those customers that prefer to use a standard mouse instead of the traditional touchpad. As already hinted above, with it, they will no longer have to remember to take the mouse with them each time they move from room to room.

The new Clip-and-Go Doc featured on Logitech's new V550 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse has been designed specifically to allow users to conveniently clip the V550 mouse onto their laptops.

"Logitech research revealed that the vast majority of people who use a notebook PC are mobile both within and outside the home," said Rory Dooley, Logitech senior vice president and general manager of the Control Devices business unit. "To meet the demands associated with increased mobility, the V550 mouse offers a complete set of features to make it easier to use a mouse with a notebook when moving from the kitchen to the living room or from one's desk to a meeting. Now, you won't have to choose between grabbing your mouse or a cup of coffee." he added.

The V550 Nano mouse also features the Plug-and-Forget Nano receiver, which has been designed so that the user will not notice it once it is plugged into the USB port. Furthermore, Logitech will offer the V550 mouse in two colors, gray with silver accents, and silver with cool-blue accents.

The new V550 Nano is compatible with both PC and Mac computers and will be available in the U.S and Europe later this month, for a MRSP of $59.99. Logitech says that for each V550 you purchase, you will also receive two Clip-and-Go docks.
