One thing is really annoying about portable gadgets: that they run out of power, usually when you need them the most. Notebooks are especially prone to such a fate because they're used quite a lot and they need more energy; extra battery packs and larger power reserves are cool, but, in the end, they'll be depleted and you’ll be left without your toy. Well, maybe it's time to introduce to you one of the coolest ideas when it comes to providing you with power, the YoGen Max.

YoGen Max is the newest project from Easy Energy, a company devoted to delivering the easiest and the most eco-friendly energy sources at your fingertips; or feet, for all that matters.

The really cool thing is that the YoGen Max doesn't even work with solar power, wind or anything like those "green" sources: as long as you're there and you are able to move one limb, it will keep on generating electricity and powering up your gadgets. Forever. The YoGen Max relies on your muscle power: you keep on pressing the pedal and it will keep on creating the juice to power up your stuff.

And seeing as how the Easy Energy YoGen Max is a foldable piece of tech, it will take a minimal space from your luggage while you're on the go. You can now take your netbook with you in the wild without fearing that you'll be left without power: as your gear starts wailing because of the dying batteries, just take out the YoGen Max, install it, hook the end wire to your machine and start pedaling. Of course, you'd want to switch the computer off and wait until it is ready for a new cycle.

You'll have the battery of your notebook recharged and your feet exercised and this is great. You can use it in any weather conditions, in broad daylight and in the blackest nights, on the mountain tops or at the bottom of caves and that's indeed portable and infinitely renewable energy for your needs. It goes without saying that the YoGen Max can power up any piece of gear in the same current parameters and fitted with a proper current input jack.

Hopefully it will not be long before we see the YoGen Max and have a hands-on experience. And that day will be a great day for sure.
