
The new ad models designed YouTube implementation will not shift the Website from its noncommercial trajectory, but will create a fertile ground for advertisers to exploit on its increasing popularity.
While reportedly serving 100 million amateur videos per day, YouTube will also deliver its audience Brand Channels and participatory video ads.
The PVA are presented as regular YouTube video content, being opened to sharing, comments and rating. The new ad concept has added a preview of the feature film Pulse to the YouTube experience, accounting for 904,898 views and 838 comments, and marked the system's testing period. "The advertising community embraces the idea of feedback. Like anyone else within the system, they have the ability to moderate comments so they don't get out of control," stated Chad Hurley, YouTube's chief executive and co-founder.
Paris Hilton will also find her way on YouTube, concomitantly with the Warner Bros. Records Brand Channel that will serve as a promotional feature. The Paris Hilton Channel, sponsored by Fox's "Prison Break" has a promotional role conjugated with the artist's debut album, "Paris".
