Mountain View-based Internet giant Google is reportedly getting ready for the launch of an updated flavor of its YouTube application for Android devices, which should bring along some appealing features to its users.

Among these, there are multitasking capabilities, which should provide users with the possibility to look for more videos while already watching a clip.

The application should retain the current looks, it seems, while displaying an arrow pointing down in the top left corner as soon as a video starts playing.

Tapping the arrow will minimize the video to a small window at the bottom left corner, while leaving the rest of the screen free for searching for more clips, a post on The Verge unveils.

The application is also said to offer improved performance capabilities and a fluid experience, though it’s yet uncertain when exactly users will have access to it.
