Google released quite a few updates in the last 24 hours. Shortly after announcing that its Chrome browser received new updates for both beta and stable versions, Google released a new version of YouTube for Android devices.

Unfortunately, the previous changelog that mentions various bug fixes and improvements hasn’t been replaced with a new one that would reflect the changes included in the last update.

There are rumors that Google might offer Android users the option to use YouTube as a music player and listen to the music in the background. The new feature will be added via an update, which is likely to arrive in the near future, but this is not it.

You can now download YouTube 5.2.27 for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
