YouTube will remain the same online video sharing service for a long period from now on because Google doesn't intend to overhaul the product. Many users were asking the search giant if the company wants to modify YouTube to include even more powerful functions able to compete with the other product announced by the Google rivals.

"We believe that online video is a growing market, and we believe that the marketplace for advertisers to support that is significant. Are we sure about the right way of doing it now? No, because we put the user first, and they have a great experience on the YouTube network and we want to make sure we leverage that experience and not damage the brand," said Brian Schmidt, Google's online sales and operations manager at Search Engine Strategies in New York, according to the New Media Age.

As you know, YouTube is more and more threatened by other companies that are trying to form an alliance and challenge the online video sharing service owned by Google. Recently, NBC and Microsoft signed a deal to design a powerful service with almost the same features as YouTube and able to steal its users. Although the two companies sustained they are not aiming to challenge YouTube but the same features and the same goal are obvious.

However, YouTube proved us it is able to face any competition because it managed to remain the leader just after Viacom ordered the removal of 100.000 clips. Soon after the company started the deletion, YouTube announced an impressive boost of visitors that were attracted especially by the home-generated clips uploaded by ordinary users.
