On Thursday, YouTube brought a new change to the appearance and especially to the functionality it provides: its dedicated music page got an update which will allow users to get recommendations based on their initial search.

The revamped page, according to the YouTube blog, ' showcases the most viewed music videos, special promotions, curated playlists, unsigned talent and gives you the ability to create on-the-fly mixes.' In other words, unlike other competitive sites, this one will also accompany videos to its recommendations, thus bringing the user experience to a new level.

To be more precise, users will be able to enjoy an instant playlist according to the genre they specify, or they can get in touch with the latest music trends by accessing a section called 'Today’s Hits.' And all of it is only meant to make visitors feel at ease and to provide them exactly with what they are looking for (or at least, as close as possible).

It is true that the radio will always be a handy way to discover new beats and tracks, but since we live in the era of the Internet, online streaming videos are definitely much better than the songs, as good as they may be. Just keep in mind that an image is worth a thousand words, or remember those songs that would have passed unnoticed if it hadn't been for their shocking or amazing video clips.

As mentioned on the blog, updating the music page aims to continue the website's redesign that began by enhancing the shows and the movies pages that would make YouTube personalized for every user depending on their settings and preferences.

Nonetheless, revamping the music page is not yet complete, since the YouTube team also mentioned they are planning to create a section named 'Events Near You,' where the latest live events in a certain area will be displayed.
