A reporter's work is almost never easy, especially if it is a war zone he has to follow his story to. Chad was that zone and on Saturday, almost 1,500 rebel forces attacked the presidential palace. Watching the videos uploaded by the American organization Stop Genocide Now sends shivers down the spine to anyone who has heard or witnessed an actual armed conflict taking place.

There's gunfire in the background and, luckily for
the reporters, the rebels were not interested in the hotel they were in. They came heavily armed and there was smoke going over the rooftops of where the palace was. All that being commented live by SGN's leader, Gabriel Stauring, who points out everything that had happened the period of time they had been in the area, plus pointing out the soldiers that were supposed to protect the people in the hotel from an eventual change of plans on the rebels' behalf.

YouTube decided to bring forth the facts and wrote a blog about the situation, giving some insight on the mission of the organization: "Stop Genocide Now had been reporting from refugee camps on the Chad/Sudanese border, where hundreds of thousands of refugees remain displaced from the genocide taking place in neighboring Sudan. Gabriel and team had been filing YouTube dispatches from their trip every day, until the rebel invasion of the capitol left them stuck in their hotel in the city."

The reporters were evacuated from the hotel after having been sequestrated there for a day. Not much progress was noted with the fighting, as the Chad - French troops struggled to beat back the rebel forces. Supporters of the group's work have been praying alongside their families amid one of the most tragic conflicts on the planet. The message they are trying to bring to our attention is loud and clear: Stop Violence! You can follow the development on Stop Genocide Now's channel.
