The person in question is 23-year-old Andrew Kellett from Swarcliffe, West Yorkshire, who uploaded to popular web page YouTube a total of 80 videos, where he can be seen doing illegal acts, such as consuming class A drugs and racing cars at speeds in excess of 120mph. The punishment given to him by Judge Christopher is a 24 month Asbo (Anti-social Behavior Order), meaning that for the duration of the sentence he is no longer allowed to post such images on the Internet.

"Kellett must be in the running to be Leeds' dumbest criminal," said Councilor Cater in May, the current year. The Asbo has been put in place as of earlier this week and will be enforced until 2010.

Kellett, who earns his living working as a car valet, is no stranger to crime. He has amounted a total of 21 convictions in regard to crimes such as assault, criminal damage, and drunkenness. Apparently it did dawn on him that by videotaping his wrongdoings and posting them on the Internet, it would be a piece of cake for the police to catch up to him.

The video footage goes on for hours, and depicts young Kellet in a total of 18 incidents. Apart from consuming narcotics and street racing at dangerous speeds, he can also be seen not paying for a taxi ride, driving away from a fuel station after having filled the tank of his car, but yet again failing to provide monetary restitution, trespassing on private property, and encouraging others to drive under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

Andrew Kellett comments: "I was putting these clips on the Internet to entertain people and give them a giggle about my life. It was a bit like social commentary. People seemed to enjoy it. I had 285,000 hits. I will not be posting anything else on the Internet. I have learned my lesson. I am not Britain's dumbest criminal, just misunderstood."
