Testing session or final service?

YouTube already started showing pre-clip adverts although the new service was scheduled for the summer of this year. Yesterday, Motiono managed to see the first advert included in a YouTube clip posted by the music company RCA Records that uploaded a considerable number of music videos on the Google product. Although the advert is no longer available, you can view a screenshot with it on the blogger's post. According to the message, the advert is displayed for 5 seconds while another tiny ad is displayed at the end of the clip just above the similar videos provided by YouTube.

Recently, YouTube announced this exciting program, sustaining that every clip will contain adverts that will bring new revenues to the search giant. Of course, the profit will be shared with the uploaders, so every YouTube user that uploads clips on the page has the chance to earn some important money. Although some visitors might criticize the online video sharing service for placing adverts in the clips, there are a lot of registered members that are attracted by the new campaign because they are uploading YouTube videos periodically. Take the example of the YouTube Community Advocate, an ex-YouTube ordinary user that was publishing new clips on the page periodically. Because he was the most active member on the website, YouTube's officials decided to hire him and offer a large amount of money for his job.

As you can see, YouTube really tends to become a virtual television as it manages to get all the features of an old-fashioned channel: it is accessible for free, it displays adverts and contains an impressive number of pages that provide instant access to all kinds of clips.
