The short story so far: a clip posted on the popular video service YouTube showed a 24-year-old woman apparently being raped by three boys, two of them aged 16 and one of them 14. The woman, who seemed to be drugged, said she was raped by the boys straight in front of her kids who could be heard crying in the background of the YouTube clip. The YouTube employees removed the video just after the woman went to the police, the clip recording approximately 600 views at the moment of the removal.

"I was raped all night. It was torture. They raped me in front of my daughter who was screaming for me, but I couldn't move. Putting it on the Internet was abominable. I was raped on the film and you could hear my daughter and four-year-old son crying," the woman told The Sun.

Obviously, the police started an investigation and the findings are pretty shocking. First of all, the woman wasn't actually raped although she claims she was. The police discovered that the 24-year-old was arrested after it was proved that she had had underage sex and lied to the authorities, The Sun informs in an article published today. The three arrested boys are now free to go home and no further action will be started against them, the same publication adds.

What's interesting is that many people are now blaming YouTube for leaving the clip available for too much time, although it clearly infringed the service's guidelines and shouldn't be published on such a popular website. However, according to The Sun, the YouTube officials admitted it was their mistake and said that similar clips infringing the guidelines are usually removed in an hour or so. "I do not know exactly what happened but it was a mistake," Kent Walker, head lawyer, told the mentioned source.
