YouTube's most expected function, codenamed Claim Your Content, is expected to be released soon after Google CEO Eric Schmidt sustained the new feature is already designed. The Google employee sustained at the National Association of Broadcasters conference that YouTube will be able to avoid copyright complaints soon using a new and innovative ability to scan the content uploaded by the users.

According to Silicon, the Google CEO sustained that the company will debut the new function soon and will flag inappropriate content published by users in order to be removed. The function was expected since the end of the last year when the search giant acquired YouTube but it was delayed, bringing an assault of critics for the search giant.

Because the company delayed the release of the feature, the online media giants attacked the company sustaining that YouTube intends to boost the number of visitors using the old content published on the page before the Google acquisition. As a consequence, the search giant was sued by a huge number of firms and celebrities, the company being accused for copyright infringement. The last and the most know lawsuit was filed by Viacom, the owner of MTV and Comedy Central that sued Google after they demanded the removal of more than 100.000 clips from YouTube. In fact, Viacom was a company that attacked Google just after the acquisition and the announcement of a new delay for the copyright feature. The case was at least interesting because Google agreed to remove Viacom's clips but the MTV owner decided to sue them anyway, requiring $1 billion in damages.

However, Eric Schmidt sustained there are only two ways to deal with Viacom: partner with them or being sued by their company, Google choosing the second one. Although the Google CEO's statement is a little bit hilarious, the lawsuit came after Viacom wanted to receive money from Google because it considered the search giant records profits for the content offered by them.
