Following the recent improvements rolled out for the YouTube video watch page, the online video sharing service is now working on a brand new interface for the entire website. Yesterday, the YouTube Team presented a
preview page of the new appearance, revealing several elements which might appear in the final version of the service. Personally, I really don't like the new YouTube because the red bar doesn't seem to fit the rest of the page while the menus are really annoying. Moreover, some of the drop-down menus are pretty buggy as you can see in the picture attached to the article. I know it is only an early preview so I guess the employees will fix it soon. Oh, I must add that I loaded the preview page in Opera which works quite fine on other sites.
"In a constant effort to improve the user experience and incorporate your feedback we'll be making a number of large changes to the site over the next few months. In addition to making improvements upon existing features, we'll be rolling out some brand new items that are still in the works," the YouTube team wrote on the official blog of the video sharing service.
"We can tell you there is a lot to look forward to, but in the meantime we offer you this sneak preview of the new YouTube video browsing page (our "Videos" tab) and invite you to share your feedback with us."
Moreover, YouTube made a major change: it included the categories under the Videos tab which is supposed to offer better functionality for the users looking for certain clips. At this time, there is no official release date for the new version of YouTube but it seems like the team working at the product wants to roll it out very soon.
