While not being close to Yahoo and Google when it comes to terms of users and queries conducted through it, Ask.com is a cute search engine that mostly caught on in the United States and is one of the few sites that joined the two mentioned before in their attempt to put a smile on the users' faces, on holidays with personalizing its homepage. What it has and the other two
don't have (or at least I haven't heard of them yet) are themes for its homepage, which you can change and keep. I've just thought I'd mentioned that.

The categories it came up with, when revealing to the world what queries it had processed so far, are interesting. Did you want to know which is the most sought after pregnant star of 2007? Jennifer Lopez, but here's the full list:

1. Jennifer Lopez
2. Salma Hayek
3. Christina Aguilera
4. Julia Roberts
5. Halle Berry
6. Nancy Grace
7. Nicole Richie
8. Milla Jovovich
9. Tori Spelling
10. Bridget Moynahan

A big surprise, at least to me, came with the top ten Television Show Searches, a hit like "Grey's Anatomy" being lower in the rankings than "Gilmore Girls" or "Charmed", and way behind cartoons like "Family Guy" or "SpongeBob SquarePants":

1. Hannah Montana
2. Family Guy
3. SpongeBob SquarePants
4. WWE
5. American Idol
6. Big Brother
7. Gilmore Girls
8. South Park
9. Charmed
10. Grey's Anatomy

What else was there, oh, the Top Real Deal of 2007 was MySpace, the Presidential Candidates Search put Barack Obama on top of the list and the Sports Team Search gave Caesar what Caesar deserved, the Boston Red Sox taking home both the World Series (I really wait anxiously for the day when a team outside of the US will win that one, being a World competition and all) and landing the top spot in Ask.com's list.
