Curiosity is all the way on Mars, doing science even during the holidays, so it may be a bit hard to check in at its location. But you can still get a coveted Curiosity badge in Foursquare by visiting several science-related locations.

NASA has teamed up with Foursquare to make it possible for users to earn the distinctive Curiosity badge.

"Since NASA’s Curiosity Rover landed on Mars for its 23-month exploration, it’s been checking in, leaving tips, and even earning a couple mayorships on the red planet," Foursquared explained.

"Now, all you science lovers here on earth can unlock the Curiosity Explorer badge when you like NASA on Foursquare and check in at planetariums, science museums, and NASA visitor centers," it said.

The badge isn't that hard to get, all you have to do is visit a planetarium or at least a science museum, doesn't matter which, certainly easier than visiting Mars. Then again, this means that you won't be getting a mayorship on Mars any time soon, Curiosity's title is secure.
