Prepare yourselves for being conquered... by the Beckhams! The celebrity couple, David and Victoria, who occasionally play soccer or do modeling jobs, but mostly live on their fame, are set to make their 'reign' in the United States a very pleasant one. After all, with the way Posh has been leaking money all over the place, they do need some kind of insurance that they won't go bankrupt in a year.
Since David announced his summer move from Real Madrid to LA Galaxy, Victoria has been the busiest little bee that ever lived. Of course, by 'little' we actually mean 'little', it's not a sign of endearment or anything. She immediately flew to America, met with her fans (why, oh, why?), signed autographs, listened patiently as she was congratulated for being a role model (for what?) and... oh, yes, went house hunting.
She still managed to go shopping and stuff, thus proving that she can do as many activities like the rest of us (even more, if she puts her mind to it) and still have some time for herself. Remember when she said she was just a 'regular' woman? Then, she went back home, probably informed David of which houses she had seen, which one she liked and which not. They say Michael Jackson's Neverland was not on the list of 'good houses to live in'.
But, before going back to David and her children in London, she also found the time to sign a contract with a very prestigious fashion line, which gives her the perfect opportunity to make herself known creatively. The moment she moves to America for good she will design handbags and shoes, a job for which she'll be paid £5 million. Not bad!
The last couple of days, Posh Spice was in Paris with BFF Katie Holmes/Cruise for fashion week. While there, she signed yet another deal that will bring her family more money that we could ever make in our lifetime, a contract that will allow BrandBeckham to bring 'Intimately Beckham' to the US. For the launch of his and her fragrances (very successful in the UK and Europe), the celebrity couple will get another £7 million. At this rate, David can retire altogether from the world of sports.
Well, not quite, because all those millions would be probably spent in three months, if Posh had her way. Either way, this is the beginning of a very beautiful friendship between the Beckhams (the conquerors) and the US (the conquered).
