You Know This Will Go Straight to DVD!

As much as we love Jessica Simpson for her having a fairly good voice and for being such a cutie (almost) all the time, we have to say this: she should stick to what she's good at and leave the movie-making business to those who really know a thing or two about it. No offense, but she's a worse actress than even Mariah Carey and she, with her critically panned 'Glitter' are, like, the ultimate symbol films gone bad.

Last summer, I was telling you about Jessica preparing for yet another cinematographic adventure, despite the fact that her intensely promoted 'Employee of the Month' topped all the charts of 'worst movies of the year' and bombed hard at the box-office. By the looks of things, her third brush-off with the movies stands the same chances: 'Blonde Ambition' is already heavily criticized and ridiculed, even months before its official release.

Jessica Simpson stars in 'Blonde Ambition' opposite Luke Wilson (the less famous of the Wilson brothers), as a determined blonde who tries to make it into the business world on her own and who finds that men are willing to do anything to put a halt to her ascension to her rightful spot in a company. The film is said to be a loose remake of 'Working Girl', starring Melanie Griffith in a role that earned her an Oscar nomination. For Jessica, it will probably mean another nomination for the Razzies.

Ever since it went into production, the set of 'Blonde Ambition' was plagued with innumerable problems, among them the most important being that the main star, Miss Simpson, was unable to learn her lines. Jeez, imagine the shock! Now that shooting is over, Jessica can talk about the past hardships and even brag about having accomplished the impossible feat of... (brace yourselves)... learning her lines! 'The hardest thing about "Blonde Ambition" was that I'm carrying the weight of the movie on my shoulders. I was in every shot, pretty much, and it was very time-consuming. You don't really understand until a week after you're done shooting, and you're like, "Oh my gosh, I memorized all those lines! Wow!"', the singer told MTV in a recent interview. Wow, indeed...

In addition to that, Jessica also discovered her latent acting abilities: she claims that she learned how to make a comedy really funny and, by this, that she had so much potential inside that she never knew existed. 'Jim Carrey is obviously the best at it; he does all the different faces. But I have so many different faces in this movie that I never knew I had before.', she says. Well, we can see that from the photos, can't we? The range of emotions that she displays on her face is _______ (insert here the word of your choice).

Unfortunately, some things didn't go as planned with shooting for 'Blonde Ambition' so Jessica had to get back on the set to re-do a couple of scenes. Thank God, because otherwise we wouldn't have had this magnificent opportunity of seeing Jessica Simpson in action (while wearing two very funny wigs). Now, we know which DVD NOT to buy this summer. And, as if this wasn't enough, she will be making yet another movie soon: Jessica says she will finish shooting for 'The Witness' by the end of March. She does this because, she says, she doesn't 'want to be typecast'. Too late for that!
