The Russian smartphone market is one of the largest in the world, which is why most handset makers are looking to bring their products in this country. While most are interested in their handsets’ specs, there are a few who prefer to differentiate their devices through looks.

A certain Chinese company called BQ Company plans to enter the Russian market in style and for that it’s readying its first handset, which is called BQM Monza.

When you say Monza, you can’t help but think at Formula 1 and the Italian circuit with the same name. Well, it looks like the Chinese company had the same thing in mind when creating the BQM Monza.

According to Mobile-Review, BQ Company announced that the first product with which it would enter the Russian market would be the BQM Monza.

Nothing unusual here, except for the fact that BQM Monza is a sports car in miniature. It does come with a candy bar form factor, but the rest of the phone’s look suggests that it’s a mix between a Ferrari and a Lamborghini.

Unfortunately, little is known about the phone’s specs, but those who plan to grab it when it goes on sale should know that it will weigh about 78g (battery included) and it will have a length of around 9.5cm.

The front part is completely made of plastic, while the button in the center looks like the wheel of a car. Stylized wheels also appear on both sides of the phone, but some themes, sounds and tones were also personalized to make your device look and sound like a sports car.

The back of the BQM Monza, on the other hand, is made of metal and has “bright & quick” written at the bottom. We also know that this particular phone will feature dual-SIM capability, which is not unusual for the Russian market, where the demand for such devices is high at the moment.

Obviously, this is not a smartphone, so expect to have little storage at your disposal. Luckily, BQ Copany included a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, so you won’t have to worry about space if you purchase a memory card.

Even though it’s not a smartphone, BQM Monza will reportedly come with several popular social and messaging apps, including WhatsApp Messenger.

Last but not least, the Chinese company plans to release the BQM Monza sometime in September, but it will not be the only one of its kind. No word on price tag yet, but it surely won’t cost as much as a sports car.
