Ever caught your iPhone so off guard that it died on you the second you plugged it in for a recharge? It almost happened to me for the first time last night, but I managed to take a cool screenshot to share with you guys just in the nick of time.

Christmas has come and gone, but we're still freezing our rears off in this part of the world at the moment. On my way home yesterday, I tucked my hands in my pockets to stay warm, unknowingly hitting the Home button and then the camera shortcut on my iPhone's touchscreen.

So the phone started recording the inside of my pocket until it almost fully drained its battery.

(Yes Android fans, it happens more often than you’d think. And it’s a bummer).

Once I got home, I pulled out my Lightning cable to give it some juice, when I noticed the on-screen battery meter was completely empty, with the power percentage showing 1% left.

So I quickly snapped the screenshot above. The phone died on me like two seconds later.
