Salma Hayek is undeniably one of the hottest actresses of our times. Who said that once you reach 30 you begin to be considered a hag? Well, Salma is now 40 and still at her prime and, obviously, the guys who make Campari are of the same opinion as I am.
Having described the actress as the 'symbol of sensuality', the drinks firm went to her and asked her to be the face of the latest ad campaign for the popular liquor and also the star of a very special, limited edition of a Campari 2007 calendar. Said calendar comprises 12 photos and each of its 9,999 copies will be distributed internationally come next year.
I don't even know if words are necessary when it comes to these photos, save that they were taken by famed photographer Mario Testino (who used to be Princess Diana's favorite snapper), in collaboration with Matthew Rolston.
The idea behind the photo shoot was to capture the Campari spirit, which was why we can now see Salma, dressed in very low-cut black dresses, either alone and covered in jewels or surrounded by gorgeous male models. And Campari, of course!
'Campari will communicate passion again to a world totally coherent on an international level. Working with artists such as Salma Hayek, Mario Tesino and Matthew Roldston was really an exceptional experience', Robert Kunze-Concewitz, marketing director of the drinks firm said during a press conference.
The most striking thing about the photo shoot is that, while there is a certain sense of debauchery prevailing in all of them, not for one second does Salma look bad (or, should I say it?, slutty). There is class, distinction and lots of sensuality in all the pics, you know, just like in the bygone Victorian era, when dukes and queens engaged in the most lewd carnal acts while still being members of the royalty.
So... I'm going to stop right now. Enjoy the pictures below.
