Approximately two weeks ago, we informed our users about a contest where they could win an Ubuntu-powered smartphone from BQ, the first ever Ubuntu Phone device, just by folding an Ubuntu Origami Unicorn.

Well, Canonical has announced today that the Origami Unicorn Challenge, where anyone who folds an origami unicorn can participate, will end on April 15, 2015. Therefore, you still have two days to fold the perfect unicorn in order to win an Ubuntu Phone.

"Did you know...according to Japanese legend, if you can fold a thousand cranes you will be granted a wish..ok..it's a lie. BUT, if you fold one exquisite unicorn and upload it to Instagram, you could win an Ubuntu phone," says Canonical on a Google+ post.

Don't know how to fold an origami Unicorn?

If that's the case, we have some good news for you, as Canonical published an instructional video that would help you do just that in only 10 minutes (watch it at the end of this article). In addition, there's the famous PDF file with detailed instructions about how to fold the origami Unicorn.

To enter the competition, you will have to make a beautiful photo of your creation, and then upload it to your Instagram account. Don't forget to add the #‎fingertipchallenge‬ hashtag to your photo before uploading it. The image that has the most Instagram likes will win the contest.
