Facebook has made it possible to edit comments left anywhere on the social network. Until now, users were only able to delete embarrassing or spelling-challenged comments. Now, they can edit them and correct the mistake while leaving them and the original post time intact.
Any comment you made on the site will get a small "pencil" button when you hover over it. Clicking on it will enable you to either delete it or edit it. If you choose the latter, you can make your changes and then save it to get the updated version. However, users will be able to see the uncorrected version of the comment, if they want to.
"When you edit a comment, you'll see a note under your comment showing the time it was edited. Anyone who can see your comment can see this and click on the Edited link to see what was changed," Facebook
explains.
