One of the more interesting, for those not that interested in getting their hands dirty or their house smelling like hot plastic, is 3D printing as a service. More and more providers are popping up, each with their own spin on things.
Sandboxr has an interesting approach; it tries to make it as easier as possible to get a custom 3D model done. The service opts to put a bigger emphasis on the quality of the designs and the desirability of the models than on customization.
The nice thing about this approach is that it can offer some quite exquisite models. To coincide with the release of the new Ender's Game movie, Sandboxr has introduced a few themed models for you to choose from.
The options are a Bugger mothership, the International Fleet Shuttle, or an IF Drone Ship, each starting at $19.99 (€15) with the price going up depending on the size of the model and any extras you may want.
