This time, it's South Korea that is reviewing allegations lodged by the iPad's maker

As if it weren't bad enough that Samsung was banned from selling Galaxy Tab 10.1, S II and Nexus products in its home market, the company is now being investigated by the Korean Fair Trade Commission.

The report says that Apple filed a complaint around the way Samsung licensed its 3G patents.

Apple says Samsung should not be allowed to “aggressively” use patented technology around 3G connectivity that it should be offering to license on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms.

This is the whole FRAND issue rehashed, so to speak. The European Commission started looking into this matter all the way back in November 2011. Only the stage is changed now.

The South Korean antitrust team will take that investigation into account, as well as recent court rulings, no matter how embarrassing or questionable.
