Lately, Yeston has launched quite an impressive number of custom designed graphics cards and the Chinese company has just showcased a new special model that pairs Nvidia's GTX 570 GPU with 2560MB of video buffer in order to deliver improved performances when high-resolution textures are used.

The card didn't receive an official name just yet, as it is still in development, but it differs quite a lot from the Nvidia reference GTX 570 since, apart from the increased video buffer size, it features a redesigned printed circuit board (PCB) as well as a custom cooling system.

According to HardwareLuxx, Yeston's PCB is actually shorter than the one used by Nvidia as it makes use of the vertical space available inside most desktop chassis for placing the extra memory chips as well as the 12 + 2 phase power delivery circuitry.

However, the cooling system isn't as frugal as the PCB when it comes to the space occupied inside the case as the Arctic Cooling solution employed by Yeston spans over almost three PCI slots.

Regular GTX 570 coolers occupy only two slots inside the system case, but the AC cooler uses no less than five thick heatpipes for drawing the heat away from the core as well as dual 92mm fans, which makes it a great deal more powerful than the stock cooler.

In addition to the above-mentioned changes to the GTX 570 standard design, the connectivity of the card has been also expanded as Yeston's models features dual DVI outputs, an HDMI port as well as a DisplayPort connector.

For now, clock rates are set at 732MHz for the core and 950MHz for the memory (Nvidia's stock frequencies) but these could change until the card becomes official.

The GTX 570 graphics card is based on the GF110 core, packs 480 streaming processors, 60 texturing units, 40 ROPs and a 320-bit memory bus.
