Gamers can get a taste of a new Japanese adventure

The development team at CS1 and publisher SEGA have released a number of new screenshots for the upcoming Yakuza 5, showing off what the new game engine can do and some of the locations that players will be able to explore in the coming adventure.

Yakuza 5 is set to be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 from Sony in Japan at some point before the end of 2012, with Western gamers probably getting access to the same experience at a certain moment next year.

The new images are pretty interesting and reveal a brighter city, but on the whole they don’t seem very different from the shots that we have seen for Yakuza 4.

The new game in the long-running series will apparently allow players to control no less than 5 separate characters and will explore a number of new city areas while offering the same variety of content as previous entries in the series.
