The development team at CS1 working on the upcoming Yakuza 5 have revealed some information on the taxi-based missions that the game will offer via Kazuma Kiryu, the character who was once a gang leader and has since decided to go into retirement.

Players will need to pick up clients and then follow their directions and their indications concerning speed, but they will also ask them about their life problems and will be able to offer advice and support.

Players will also have to deal with issues of safety, fighting off gangs of thieves who don’t know who they are dealing with.

The taxi is a vehicle and that means that it is fully customizable and that the player can even use it, as long as it meets certain requirements, to enter illegal street races.

Yakuza 5 is now a PlayStation 3 exclusive that will be launched during December 2012, and so far SEGA has not revealed a Western release window.
