Yahoo's Search Engine is one of the most popular search engines, its rivalry with Google's Search Engine being well known because it can result in better performance and well-developed solutions.
Currently, the search engine provided
by Yahoo gives you the possibility to search for files, sites, maps, jobs, images, video, audio, news and many more options.
Last week, I told you about the new button implemented by Yahoo to the search engine that allows searching for even more options than the ones presented on the main page. The button was represented by a drop down list that includes other features to search for answers, directory search or all functions at once.
Today, the Yahoo Search team posted a message on the official blog to announce new changes to the search engine that are expected to be completed tomorrow night.
"We are in the process of rolling out some changes to our search results. As usual, you may be seeing some changes in ranking as well as some shuffling of the pages that are included in the index throughout this process. This update began on Sunday night and should be complete by tomorrow morning," Tim Mayer, Yahoo Search, said.
Many users are expecting for some minor changes related to the way Yahoo crawls and indexes the websites, so don't panic if your website was ranked first and now you are relegated with a few but important positions.
Personally, I look forward for new changes in the Yahoo Search Engine because Google tries to update the search engine periodically, while Yahoo issues a little update very rarely. And I'm sure this disadvantage will influence a lot the performance provided by the future search engines…
