Rogers Wireless users will be happy to find out that their favorite wireless carrier has just signed an agreement with Yahoo, which is meant to enhance the quality of Rogers Wireless' products. The agreement also includes Fido, which, along with Rogers Wireless, is on the most important Canadian mobile carrier.

Rogers Communications and Yahoo! Inc. are not at their first partnership, as the two companies have signed, last year, a multi-year agreement that includes broadband, mobile and PC search. The latest will enable Rogers Wireless to become the first Canadian carrier to launch Yahoo!'s successful oneSearch engine. According to John Boynton, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer for Rogerss Wireless, the company's latest move will provide its customers with instant access to "all the relevant results and instant answers to the information they care about anytime and anywhere."

To those among you who aren't aware of it, Yahoo! oneSeach is a mobile application that delivers search results directly on the first display of a mobile phone. The search engine offers direct access to news, financial information, weather conditions, Flickr photos, Web images, as well as Web and Mobile Web sites. The search engine allows Rogers Wireless users to benefit from reliable answers, rather than boring web links.

Yahoo! has succeeded in signing 29 Yahoo! oneSearch partnerships, including Rogers Wireless, within just one year. The collaboration between the two companies will lead to a better search experience for consumers using mobile phones. With Yahoo!'s continuous desire to improve its search engine, users are ultimately the ones who will benefit from this collaboration.

While providing its users with a new service for their products, Rogers Wireless will also allow better access to Rogers' customers wanting to shop online for various mobile related products. The partnership confirms the North American company's continuous search for improving the quality of their products.
