The Yahoo! iPhone client is getting a leg up in content and boasts improved performance thanks to a new update churned up by the web company this week. Yahoo! 2.3.5 is a free download for all iOS customers.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Yahoo! 2.3.5 delivers “new content sections,” with breaking stories and comprehensive imagery.

The new release boasts “improved performance and content stream experience,” according to the company run by Marissa Mayer. The Yahoo! CEO is known to be an avid fan of Apple’s solutions, so expect more down the road from the admirable female boss.

Lastly, Yahoo! 2.3.5 brings the usual bag of fixes. The developers don’t specify exactly which issues have been addressed, but you can count on the new Yahoo! app to work smoother than ever.
