Vapps is giving the finishing touches to a free conference calling plug-in designed to integrate with the Yahoo Messenger with Voice. Vapps has revealed via a press release that the service will be released in the upcoming
period, but failed to disclose the actual date. Currently the infrastructure provider of VoIP conferencing calling solutions is delivering a similar service integrated with eBay's Skype.
"With beginnings as a back-end conference calling provider, our team of seasoned programmers have revolutionized the way we look at web-based conference calling by developing web platforms that compliment technologies such as Yahoo! Messenger with Voice to create a more advanced experience for consumers," stated Ben Lilienthal, CEO and co-founder of Vapps. "We used to look at the conference call as merely a business solution, with the introduction of services such as ConFreeCall, the landscape has changed to be a tool for online communities as well".
In excess of 80 million users of the Yahoo instant messaging client will benefit from ConFreeCall. The service aims at delivering a comprehensive extension to the Yahoo Messenger platform free of charge.
"Partnering with a great brand like Yahoo! is a tremendous opportunity for us to spread adoption of web-based conference calling as consumers look to be more connected and have a more advanced online experience," continued Lilienthal.
