Yahoo Toolbar was especially designed by the giant portal to provide instant access to the services owned by the company such as Yahoo Mail or Bookmarks. At this time, the product is available for the two most popular browsers, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, allowing users to implement the functions into the two applications. Yahoo Toolbar currently competes with Google Toolbar, a similar utility with almost the same function but designed by the search giant Google.

Today, the Yahoo employees announced a new improvement for their toolbar, sustaining the browser add-on is now even more powerful and contains more useful utilities. The best example is represented by the button support that allows you to customize the toolbar's interface with new functions. For example, you are able to add more buttons to the product that will provide quick access to CNN, Amazon, Flickr, Games, Messenger, Sports and many other services.

"Today, we're announcing the general availability, on Firefox and IE, with a few new updates including integration with popular Yahoo! properties, personalized recommendations for suggested bookmarks and enhanced features for organizing and managing bookmarks," Duke Fan, Yahoo Toolbar, and Tom Chi, Yahoo Bookmars, sustained on the official blog of the company.

The company also improved Yahoo Bookmarks, the online product that allows users to upload their favorite websites and store them for free on the Yahoo service. You're now able to access the bookmarks straight from the toolbar using a new button and a quick list function that enables you to customize the browser add-on's menu. Both Yahoo Toolbar and Yahoo Bookmarks are available for free and can be used without any limitation. The online bookmarks service requires a Yahoo account to upload and save your favorite sites straight on the company's servers.
