It seems like the service doesn't like the criticism over Yahoo services

Although Yahoo Suggestions was designed especially to allow users to post their own ideas and suggestions of the giant portal's products, it seems like the company doesn't like the criticism over its own product. Let me tell you a short story: David Dalka, a Yahoo Mail user, decided to post a message on the Yahoo Suggestions service to inform the company about numerous spam messages he receives every day. "Yahoo! E-mail - please improve the spam filters - too much spam gets through," the message said. After the message was published, it quickly recorded 9 votes so it was obvious it will be quite a popular topic on the service.

"Then I got the message below stating it was deleted. As I write this I'm absolutely stunned, how can Yahoo! state that the "Suggestion is not actionable by owners of this Suggestion Board, therefore we are removing it." If this is going to be the normal procedure of Yahoo! Suggestions, I now have serious concerns about the success of the Yahoo! Suggestions initiative," the publisher sustained on his official blog.

This is quite an important accusation for the giant portal because Yahoo Mail has powerful rivals on the Internet so, if the company decides to remove the suggestions and take no action to improve the product, Gmail and other products will start attracting all the clients of the giant portal's solution.

The first comment posted on the blog owned by David Dalka explains exactly what happens if Yahoo ignores this type of messages: "I can't help but say, if you don't want spam you should think about just switching to Gmail." So, no matter if Yahoo really removed the message because it criticized its product or not, the company should improve its spam filters or at least communicate with its users because they will start looking for an alternative very soon. And Gmail is out there, waiting for them...
