Yahoo Offers $1000 for Every New Member

For the online poker room

Yahoo launched today the long awaited poker room that allows the users to play the card game for real. At this time, the game room is hosted by Yahoo UK but the service allows most countries to register except US and Gibraltar where the online gambling is prohibited by the laws. The most attractive element is represented by the promotion offered by Yahoo that gives no more than $1000 to any user that makes his first deposit for the poker room. However, the money are available only if you play the game, so don't think that you can send them to your account. The poker room is hosted by Yahoo and St Minver, the two companies signing

a deal to bring the card game online.

However, Yahoo makes an interesting statement about its partnership: "St Minver Ltd is licensed in Gibraltar and is strictly regulated by the laws of the European Union with regard to Data Protection. St Minver is committed to delivering ethical and responsible gaming, with the highest standards of excellence in customer care."

The newly created page is quite attractive and offers numerous poker resources such as tutorials, quizzes and important information concerning the game.

At this time, Yahoo is quite an important game center because many Internet users are attracted by Yahoo's pool, backgamon or by any other online game provided by the giant portal. As you might know, all these games are also available on Yahoo Messenger, making the instant messaging client an attractive product for the company's gamers.

"Yahoo! Poker uses a Flash Gaming Client, if you have the required Flash Player on you computer, you don't have to install any software in order to play on Yahoo! Poker. Just login to your account and launch the Yahoo Flash Client by clicking on the "Lobby" graphics," the company presented an alternative to the web-based gaming process.
