One of the most popular instant messaging applications for PC, Yahoo! has been launched on most mobile platforms for a complete messaging experience while on the move.
Yahoo! Messenger for Android devices is close to exceeding 50 million downloads in the Google Play store, which says something about the popularity of this application.
Today, developers announced that a small, but important update for Yahoo! Messenger for Android is available for download.
Firstly, the latest update removes all graphical ads from
Yahoo! Messenger, so users can have a much smoother experience with this instant messaging app. Secondly, Yahoo! added lots of performance and stability improvements, though these have yet to be detailed.
Yahoo! Messenger 1.8.2 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0.1 and up. Check it out
