Yahoo Messenger's Voice Live Chat Support Down!

Yahoo Voice is one of the most important features of Yahoo Messenger because it enables consumers to communicate over the web using a microphone and a headset. Because you're able to call a phone from all over the world, the function
is pretty important for numerous users so the parent company created a live chat support supposed to help the consumers every time they encounter a problem. Although the Sunnyvale super giant Yahoo receives lots of complaints about the feature, it can be worse than that. Yahoo confirmed the service was down yesterday but didn't provide other information such as the time when it becomes re-available.

"The live chat help service we offer for Yahoo! Voice subscribers is currently down due to technical difficulties. We're working on fixing it and I'll post an update here once I have more news (or when it's fixed). Thanks for your patience," Sarah Bacon, Product Manager at Yahoo, wrote on the main blog of the company.

But what's more important is that numerous consumers who tried Yahoo's live chat support are pretty disappointed by the service as they had to wait way too much before they managed to talk with an expert.

"It was down for only 35 minutes, that is how long it usually takes someone to join the session and help you, anyway. I used the live chat support 5-6 times and each time I waited for over 30 minutes. Support was helpful when billing was a problem, but not so much with technical issues. Therefore, I guess more people with more knowledge is a solution," Mark Pr, a user who posted a comment to Yahoo's announcement, stated.

Sarah Bacon, Product Manager at Yahoo, informed that the glitch was repaired and everything should work without any problem. "10:25am PST: Live chat help is now up and running again."

why does anyone even bother? it's like trying to teach pigs to sing here- it annoys the pigs and is a total waste of personal time. You make live chat help impossible to connect to here first by making the search for it impossible to complete using any terms .. I am really wondering if it is wise, prudent, to seek connection to your voice in and voice out services. Look at the dates here in the other submissions. In the time since those, here we are still- a simple connect, setup, pay-remit, and begin use of service here, is far from simple. And the cherry on top is, you want to hide and not make yourself available in a live help chat to someone wanting to sign up for pay you services. Unbelievable. Try again later messages at signup pages here. Go thru hoop after hoop here to get nowhere. You really have no help to offer and I probably should not pursue any further, obtaining your services.

Isn't this a surprise! I just submitted a comment about all the hassle associated with signing up, and I should have read your comment before doing anything like that. WEEK 3 AFTER PAYING THESE PEOPLE FOR THE SERVICES, AND THEY HAVE THE MONEY BUT YOU GET NOTHING FOR THE MONEY YOU STUFFED INTO THEIR POCKETS? WHAT EXACTLY DO THEY CALL THAT? GOOD BUSINESS? GOOD FOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS? Someone looking for THIS LOCATION to submit one of these comments would likely find finding this location about as much fun as it is to find the live chat location. I wish I could contact you directly and find out what the results were and how long it took you to get them. I hope you got your money back. I am really having second thoughts about tjhis with these people. They really give me the impression they want zero contact from their customers short, payments. Note how they explicitly made mention regarding NO REFUNDS OF FEES FOR SERVICES. HOW THOUGHTFUL OF THEM.

i am in the same situatuation , i open 2 yahoo voice accounts and after 3 days the accounts got g cancel the cause:credit card failed to verifiy,( the first time in all my online transactions), which i contacted a live chat rep twice who told me they had send me an email wicht they never did, and told me they will contact me within a week time again by email but nothing. Now its even worse, when i try to connect to live help , just like you were searching, guest what? NOTHING ,NO LINK AT ALL, its almost if it dispeared . This is frustating and im personaly disappointed that yahoo would do that , is the economy so bad that yahoo will lood people too?

A friend has a MAC computer and uses a headset. I can hear him fine however he says my voice is 3 octives higher than normal and virtually unintelligble. When he goes into preferences voice and calls, audio setup, output device and change it from the headset to the built in output, my voice is redirected to the speakers and my voice is then normal. When he chats on other voice servies, the audio is fine. The problem is only through Yahoo. Any ideas?

I have not been able to view my Yahoo emails in 4 days. I had a Live Chat and they told me it was a "known issue" . (It shows I'm signed in- but when I click the Mail icon it asks again and again and again for my password -- I never can view the emails. The Live Chat rep said they had no way to guess when it would be "resolved". I'm ready to never look at Yahoo again.
