Yahoo Mail is undoubtedly a very useful Windows 8 application because it allows early adopters of Microsoft's new operating system to send and receive messages without leaving the Metro UI.

The good news is that a new version of Yahoo Mail is now available for all Windows 8 platforms, including x86, x64 and ARM flavors supposed to be used on tablets.

While the update is now displayed in the Store, the official release notes point to an older changelog, so we can't tell for sure what's new in this fresh version of the app.

On the other hand, Yahoo Mail now seems to work a bit faster, so several bug fixes and performance improvements are very likely to be introduced in the new release.

A detailed review of the application is also available on Softpedia, so click here to find out more details about the official Yahoo Mail client for Windows 8.
