Yahoo! Mail for Android Updated with Bug Fixes and Improvements (Updated)

It’s only been a few days since Yahoo! released a major version of their Android client and the company has just updated the application on Google Play Store.

However, the latest update for Yahoo! Mail for Android devices does not bring anything new into the mix, instead it adds some bugs fixes and overall improvements.

According to developers, the update includes performance and stability enhancements. In addition, it fixes some loading issues users were experiencing with the previous version of the application.

Keep in mind that, if you have any trouble with the update, it is recommended to delete the application and reinstall it.

Yahoo! Mail 2.0.2 is now available as a free download and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.

UPDATE: Yahoo! updated their Mail app for Android devices once again and it claims it fixed most notifications issues. More details here.

Be careful. This update still has many problems and I would not have upgraded if I had realized the issues.

i downloaded the new yahoo mail app yesterday and the sound and notification does not work on my Galaxy S3. I have re-installed and re-booted a couple of times

The notifications are no longer working. My entire company is switching their e-mail from Yahoo! to G-Mail this morning for this sole reason. That is a shame, too, because they liked Yahoo! and spend money with their advertisers. Not anymore.

Great interface but huge mistake to deploy an app that does not notify new mails. I am switching to Gmail instead, which I don't like very much, but at leas works.

Everyone I know is not getting notifications. This is a HUGE problem and we are all relying on more reliable email servers. I'm done with Yahoo Mail.
