Yahoo! updated its Android email application less than a week ago, but users complained about the fact that notifications did not work on certain devices and that they were experiencing random crashes. It appears that Yahoo! has listened to what Android users had to say about their latest Mail app and delivered a new update that promises to fix most of the problems previously
reported.
According to developers, the way in which notifications work has been reworked based on users’ feedback. The notification icon has been replaced with a visually distinct icon and a number of crashes have been fixed.
The application’s icon has been fixed for older devices, along with the cut and paste function.
There are some things that still have to be addressed in future updates, such as push notification stability, actions missing on items in spam, outbox and drafts folders, as well as the fact that users are unable to zoom on older devices.
Yahoo! Mail 2.0.4 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out

UPDATE: Notifications issues have not been fixed, even though Yahoo! claimed they have addressed this critical issue. Hopefully, they will be able to push another update within the next few days. Stay tuned.
