Yahoo Mail has just received a brand new update that packs features and performance improvements aimed at both desktop and tablet versions of the new Windows 8.1 OS.

While the official release notes published in the Store only point to bug fixes, it’s still very important to deploy the new build, as it corrects issues spotted in the previous versions.

Of course, the app continues to be offered free of charge and offers support for both Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, which means that Surface RT and Surface 2 owners can download it as well.

The feature package remains basically the same, so go ahead and download Yahoo Mail for Windows 8.1 to send and receive mails, share photos, videos, and documents or manage your inbox without even closing the Modern UI.
