Update on the Yahoo Maps upgrade

The Sunnyvale company Yahoo recently released the final version of Yahoo Mail with lots of new improvements and functions that might convince people to migrate from the classic edition. Although they were introduced in beta version of Yahoo Mail, the web-based Yahoo Messenger and the unlimited storage come as two functions that would help the Yahoo mail solution to beat Gmail, its famous rival.

On Monday, the parent company removed the 'beta' tag from Yahoo Mail, starting the process of upgrading all the accounts to the new version of the email service. If you recently checked your Yahoo account, you probably noticed that you're still a 'beta' user as the Sunnyvale company didn't upgrade your account. Well, according to the Yahoo representatives, this entire process requires a little bit more time because the company has numerous Yahoo Mail servers.

"We are in the process of rolling it out to everyone, but because of number of users it could be anywhere from this week, to as long as six weeks. We're trying to get it done as quickly as possible, but there are a lot of servers so please be patient," Ryan K., Community Manager for Yahoo Mail, sustained.

As I said, you can easily observe if your account has been upgraded to the final version of Yahoo Mail when the 'beta' tag is removed from the mail service's logo. "If you are still unsure about whether or not you are actually out of beta, just take a look at the Yahoo! Mail logo in the upper left corner of the browser window. If the "BETA" is gone, you have already been migrated over," he added.

Some of the Yahoo Mail users still complain that Yahoo was more focused on useless features than on the very important ones as the spam filters are still weak and easy to trick. Personally, I think Yahoo Mail made big improvements when it comes to the security of the inbox but it has to still work a lot until it manages to compete with Gmail.
