No, it's not about the general term of "hacker", it's about Hacker Safe, a company that signed a deal with Yahoo to provide better security for its shopping search engine. This is quite a smart move as most of the Internet giants are looking for powerful partners able to improve the security of its products. Look at Google, for example. It recently hired one of the most famous hackers on the web as a security expert because he is able to help the Mountain View employees improve the security of the services.

"Combining enhanced security information with price, user ratings and merchant reviews helps online shoppers make more informed and trusted buying decisions. With the Hacker Safe trustmark included in Yahoo! Shopping listings, consumers can easily identify retailers that have taken additional steps to safeguard customer data," director of marketing for Yahoo! Shopping Joe Lazarus said for BigMouthMedia.

The security has always been a problem for most of the Internet companies because they need to offer powerful and safe solutions. On the other side, the hackers are always looking for new ways to attack a certain product, service or technology. Until now, most of the giants were affected by such attacks including Google and Yahoo.

Even the security companies, the ones which were supposed to defend our computers and assure the protection of our systems, were vulnerable in front of the attacks. Take for example Symantec, the owner of Norton Antivirus, a powerful product that is now installed on millions of computers in every corner of the world.

Numerous products powered by the company were the subject of the security notifications because more or less critical vulnerabilities were discovered into their engines. Meanwhile, the security companies are struggling to build new technologies that would protect the computers and assure the users that their data is safe.
