Introducing the Search function, which will bring Yahoo closer to its competition, Gmail, won't be the only change this Web mail service has prepared.
For now, the new Search function is available only for some of the users; the rest of the accounts will have to wait yet
another two or three months to benefit from the recently introduced option.
Yahoo Mail has even more changes in mind, especially concerning the appearance.
Apparently, it is already in beta process and its functions will be pretty similar to those of a classic e-mail client.
At the time being, Yahoo Mail stands for the most popular e-mail service. According to comScore Media Metrix company, approximately 167 million users have sent or received mail via Yahoo's mail service in July.
Gmail, only available on invitation until recently, has registered 5,4 million users, according to the same source.
AOL, another serious competitor on the market, claimed its share of 21,7 million subscribers.
Yahoo officials announced more changes to the service for the months to come, but they disclosed no further details on the matter.
