Yahoo! has finally upped its game with a dedicated tablet version of its Mail application for iOS customers. The app is basically an updated version of the formerly iPhone-exclusive build.

Yahoo! Mail version 1.5 is now available for iPad and iPad mini. Tablet owners will finally be able to use Yahoo! Mail on their big screens with a native interface, not just a blown up version of the iPhone UI.

“Especially designed for your iPad, this app lets you sit back, relax, and effortlessly sift through emails,” says the company.

A full-screen “Reading mode” has been added with photos, newsletters, and shared articles which fill the screen at the tap of a button. Yahoo! markets the feature saying you can now flip through your emails as in a magazine.

Message actions now offer some advanced options. Messages are automatically grouped by their sender, and users can easily delete unnecessary social media notifications, or star messages from a friend in just a few taps.

The new “Starred” folder will put all your starred messages in one place, and if you live in Romania, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, The Netherlands, Sweden, or Greece, Yahoo! is pleased to inform you that your language is fully supported in the new Mail app.
