Starting today, Yahoo Mail Beta will be made available to users from the United States and from an additional 18 global markets. Featuring a revamped GUI, with optimized speed and responsiveness
complementing the face-lift, drag-and-drop email management capabilities, enhanced calendar, embedded RSS reader and message preview, the new variant of the service will be available free of charge.

"Throughout the development process, we have relied on user feedback to further enhance and refine the Yahoo! Mail beta in our effort to provide the best Web mail experience possible," explained Ethan Diamond, director of product management for the new Yahoo! Mail. "We've added new features, like an integrated calendar timeline, and at the same time we continue to offer what's most important: an easy-to-use, reliable, and secure free e-mail service."

Being released in the United States, Australia/New Zealand, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, The Philippines, Singapore, Spain, and Taiwan markets, Yahoo Mail Beta introduces optimized performances, interface access to calendar timeline and map view, RSS reader, multiple email organization, management and navigation capabilities, right-click menu and support for Firefox and Internet Explorer.
