The company promises wireless charging plates for them

Yahoo! employees are offered new smartphones, and the company’s CEO Marissa Mayer is encouraging them to pick a state-of-the-art device they would like to own.

The company is leaving RIM’s BlackBerry smartphones aside and is moving to new devices to be sent to its employees.

Five options are available for the employees, including Samsung’s Galaxy S3, HTC’s One X and EVO 4G LTE, and Nokia’s Lumia 920, but the CEO appears to recommend Apple’s iPhone 5, as she is a big fan of the device.

Nokia believes otherwise, and is telling Yahoo! employees that its smartphone can easily prove a better option for them than Apple’s new handset (Samsung too suggests that the Galaxy S III is better than the new iPhone).

“Dear Yahoo! employees: The Lumia 920 is worth the wait...and we’ll throw in a wireless charging plate. Totally serious,” Nokia’s Doug Dawson said in a tweet.
