Especially addressed to Vietnamese users

Yahoo has announced the release of Yahoo 360plus, a special version of its popular blogging platform designed for Vietnamese users. The new blogging application is said to integrate multiple advanced features, many of them being already introduced into the classic version of 360. Although everybody expects the universal profile that Yahoo is working on, Matt Warburton, Yahoo Community Manager, explained that 360plus is only a Vietnamese version of Yahoo 360 and nothing more.

"Just to be clear, the 360plus product is specific to the Vietnamese market and it is not the new universal profile that we have mentioned previously in this blog. So, while 360 is transitioning to the new profile for users worldwide, the 360 name will live on in a different product in Vietnam," he explained.

What's interesting is that even if Yahoo 360plus was especially designed for Vietnamese users, they didn't receive the new service too well and ask Yahoo to bring the classic 360 back as their default blogging application. Here are some of the users' reactions posted on the Yahoo 360 blog:

"I will not cry after this 360... I hope Google will be better and better and it will crash Yahoo for ever."

"I don't really like 360Plus. I prefer simpler ones, like the current 360."

"I hate that 360plus thing. It looks stupid. I will still stick to this 360 blog until the update."

"Don't like 360plus. I'm looking forward to hearing from 360 update. And want to see it too. Be quick, be quick!"

"I prefer this classic 360 much more than that 360plus. 360 is friendly, clean and simple. It works great if you fix all those bugs !! 360plus is ugly and complicated."

Yahoo 360 was first launched on March 29, 2005t and after a few months, it was released as a final product. After approximately two years, in 2007, Yahoo announced that Yahoo 360 would no longer be updated because the company wants to abandon the project and concentrate on a universal profile.
