There hasn't been much movement in October in the search market. In the US, Google continues to dominate, it even gained 0.3 percent points last month, while Yahoo and Microsoft struggle, to no avail to catch up.

"Google Sites led the U.S. explicit core search market in October with 65.6 percent market share (up 0.3 percentage points), followed by Yahoo! Sites with 15.2 percent and Microsoft Sites with 14.8 percent (up 0.1 percentage point)," comScore detailed.

Microsoft grabbed a tiny bit of market share, but Yahoo lost more, so, overall Bing-powered search lost market share in October.

Considering how hard Microsoft has been struggling for even one percent point more market share, any loss can't be encouraging. It must be even more frustrating for Microsoft since it's Yahoo that's dragging the pair down.
