After many months of talks related to the possibility of Google having its own browser, the rumors being fueled by the fact that the search engine hired one of FireFox's developers, now it's Yahoo's turn to launch such rumors.

Yahoo Inc could develop such an application
to attract a larger number of advertisement payers to their site, chief executive Terry Semel announces.

In an interview for New York, Semel said that "Yahoo is an example for the majority of strategies and online services that are the engines for the Internet's global development. Sooner or later, developing such a browser becomes the logical step ".

For now, according to the statistics, Google is the leader of online searches and consequently it gets the bigger share of advertisement. The solutions adopted by Google to increase its advantage over the competition are: the development of a customizable homepage and the online map service.
